16 months old

The little man is 16 months old today. Not sure how much he weighs but I'd guess around 30 lbs and around 34 inches tall oh and size 7 feet (or 6 in the UK). Eoin is definitely a toddler or a little boy now, there isn't any baby left!

Eoin has cut three molars in the last month which hasn't been fun at all (and as you can see from the photo the Tylenol bottle is his favorite teething thing) and the winter long cold still seems to be here but on the upside Eoin has kind of learned to blow his nose himself.

Eoin is showing a very independent streak and wants to do many things for himself. Climbing stairs, pushing his stroller, feeding himself and taking his shoes off are all things that result in 'no, no, no' if help is offered. He has also started to stamp his feet when he isn't happy so it will be interesting to see how this develops when the tantrums kick in.

New behaviors or skills include jumping and climbing as previously blogged. We have to be super careful now because Eoin mimics our behaviors and words too. The other day the two of us were shopping and Eoin was wondering round the kids shop with me. He went right up to a kids size rack of clothes put his head to one side and started looking at the tops one by one. It was so funny and the salesperson was cracking up. He was mimicking everyone around him so well. I wish I had had by camera. Other mimicking (or learning as I think of it) is talking on his phone while I'm on the phone. He holds his phone to his ear and goes 'yeah yeah yeah'. And I guess the other one as you have seen already is putting lipstick on.
