What a week....

I don't know how single parents do it (or families where one parent is traveling lots!). Andy has been away the best part of this week in Boston for work (and as I write this he is stuck in Boston because his plane broke down).

Eoin has missed his Daddy so much. We have this ritual that we do every evening when Andy comes home. He gets the car alarm to beep to let us know he is outside and then Eoin and I run and hide for Andy to find us (normally in the shower). The first two nights Eoin has run to the window every time he has heard a car beep in the hope it is Daddy. Now he looks up at the airplanes and points and shouts 'Daddy airplane'. Poor little guy he really can't get his head round it all.

On the whole he has been well behaved while Andy has been away. He has been stuffed up with yet another cold which has slowed him a little. He had a blood test this morning as he has started to drink insane amounts of water (approx. 100 fl oz a day) but thank the Lord everything is fine - just one thirsty boy. He was a star for the blood test and didn't even cry and he got to pick out a dinosaur band aid.

I've kept busy while Andy is away - had some girl friends over the first night, a meeting the second night and tonight a movie and an early night. I did give in and gave Eoin one of his birthday presents early! He loves his Sprig car. He has walked miles in the last few days. The cars are made from recycled material and is battery free. The cars have cool little figures that plug into a usb port in the car. When you push the car the little figure lights up and tells a story. So much fun!

Anyway must sign off - hoping Andy gets home safe and sound soon.
